SocialGo and Custom Domains

Do you plan on using SocialGo for your entire community? Do you want to brand it with your domain name?

Then you may have a few questions about how that is done. Or you may need clarification on what that all means. Well know you are not alone. This is a journey I also found myself on with a site I was creating.

It was my first exposure to SocialGo and I knew I wanted to use my domain name as I already had a reputation as well as I wanted the .socialgo.com suffix removed from the url. The Basics of Design

I wanted to share with you some of the basic elements and principles to be considered in designing. I do this to help you understand what makes a graphic really stand out.

First there are 5 elements in design. Color, Shapes, Texture, Lines and Mass

Although they seem self explanatory, consider the multitudes of variations available. With lines you have the thickness as well as style; whether dotted, solid, curved, straight, etc. When it comes to color there is meaning, symbolism and association to consider. If you are ordering web graphics you may think that texture doesn’t play a role in this non-tangible media, but that is not so. Consider the depth provided by a shadow, making your image seem to ‘pop’ off the page. Read more
